When Ashton and Austin met on a blind date on February 1, 2018, they never would have guessed they were meeting their future spouse. Three years later, Austin tricked Ashton into taking part in a photoshoot for marketing brochures at the Watersound Beach Club in Florida. On the pier, the photographer asked her to spin around for an action shot. “On the count of three, I spun around and Austin was on his knee in his best suit and asked me to marry him,” she says. “I jumped up and down in such glee!” To add to the special moment, a plane flew overhead with a sign that read “Ashton, will you marry me?” The pair celebrated with a Champagne toast on the pier with their parents.
On the wedding day, Ashton got ready with her bridal party, which included her sorority sisters, childhood friends, college pals, and sister-in-law. It was a day filled with excitement and anticipation as they prepared for the special event.
What did Ashton wear?
Ashton, the bride, wore our exclusive floor-length white tulle robe-dress Adel. This stunning piece featured pearl and floral appliqués, adding a romantic and ethereal touch to her bridal ensemble. The intricate details on the dress made Ashton look like a true vision of beauty on her special day.
Overall, the wedding day preparation was a memorable experience for Ashton and her bridal party. From the pink satin pajama sets to the exquisite white tulle robe-dress, every detail added to the magic of the day. It was a celebration of love, friendship, and new beginnings.
Ashton knew she wanted her bridesmaids to wear ivory. “I love the sleek classic look of everyone in white,” she says. She chose three different styles, each with a high slit in the left leg, and gave them Chanel stud earrings as a gift. The groomsmen wore black tuxedos. “They each wore a cummerbund during the before photos and ceremony and then changed into their vests for the reception,” Ashton says. Bridesmaids held small bouquets of white peonies and hydrangeas, while the groomsmen pinned white peony boutonnières onto their lapels.
One of the couple’s favorite memories from the wedding day was making their grand entrance into the reception tent. “We held hands and began the walk down the aisle into the tent—this was our first time seeing the tent completed with the elaborate pink décor,” Ashton says. “Our mouths completely dropped open as we were in utter awe of the beauty we were surrounded by.”
The couple went straight into their first dance to “L-O-V-E” by Nat King Cole. As the song wound to an end, the stage lit up with cold sparks as a fun surprise.
